Brittney's Story

“My name is Brittney. I'm a 31-year-old mother to five beautiful children. I have struggled most of my adult life with addiction and living in poverty. In November 2021, my best friend lost her battle with addiction. It hit me hard. I decided it was time to get clean to better my kids’ lives and mine. I moved in with my family. In August of 2022, I started welding school. I was doing so well, but I was still missing something in my life. I was desperately seeking to find what that was when I opened my bible and found that Jesus was my missing piece. My life has not been the same since giving my life to him.

In December, we took another hard blow. We were no longer able to stay with family. Desperate, I googled homeless resources for single mothers and found Conway Ministry Center. The staff were so very kind and welcomed us with open arms. My case manager made sure we had a place to stay and the basics we needed to go on. They connected me with their emergency shelter program for families that ran during the winter. That gave me the time I needed to regroup without having to live in my vehicle. During our stay, the staff would visit us weekly and help connect us to resources to get our needs met. There were a couple times I didn't know what to do, like when my brakes went out. I needed that car to get to school. I called my case manager, and she helped me find a solution. Within a couple days, we had new brakes. If it wasn't for this ministry, I don't know what we would have done. They helped us find a home and we moved into the most beautiful house we could ever dream of. I'm forever grateful for Conway Ministry Center and the good Lord putting such amazing people in our lives.

Donate to the Conway Ministry Center today to help support life-transformation for families just like Brittney’s.
