August Church Spotlight: Conway Cowboy Church

One of the greatest blessings of ministry is watching the Church be the Church.

For years, Conway Cowboy Church has faithfully walked alongside the Conway Ministry Center, not because they were asked to be recognized, but because they simply saw a need and responded with willing hands and generous hearts. Time and time again, they have demonstrated what it means to love their neighbors in practical ways.

When the Refuge emergency shelter was being transformed from an old motel into a place families could once again call home, Conway Cowboy Church answered the call. Their volunteers invested countless hours helping with construction and renovation projects throughout the building. Their willingness to serve not only moved the project forward but also helped keep renovation costs down, allowing precious resources to be directed toward the families who would soon call the Refuge home.

More recently, they extended that same love to the children living at the Refuge. The church invited each child to attend Vacation Bible School, covering the cost of participation and providing everything each child needed to enjoy the week. It was more than a week of games, music, and Bible stories—it was an opportunity for children who have experienced tremendous uncertainty to simply be kids, surrounded by adults who reminded them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.

That has become the hallmark of Conway Cowboy Church's partnership with the Ministry Center. They don't simply respond to needs; they build relationships. They consistently stand in the gap, serving quietly and faithfully wherever they are needed.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in Galatians 6:9, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." We have seen that faithfulness lived out through Conway Cowboy Church again and again, and we are profoundly grateful for their partnership in the work God is doing throughout our community.
