Celebrating a New Season of Leadership at CMC!
New Roles in a New Season
We are thrilled to announce recent changes in CMC leadership! After nearly two years of careful planning and equipping, our beloved Sarah Wison has officially become our Executive Director. Our Board and Staff is so thankful that Sarah said YES to this calling on her life. There's no one we'd rather see carry this torch!
But wait, where is Spring going? She's leaving before the shelter opens? This has been her life's work for a decade!
Spring is taking on a new role, as well. But no, she's not leaving us. She has officially become our new Board President. She remains firmly committed to the CMC and will relentlessly pursue our mission and vision into the future, now as a volunteer.
If and when you have the chance, please congratulate both of our leading ladies on their new positions and continually keep them in your prayers as they lead this mission into the next era of ministry!
A note from Spring:
"There truly are no words to express the great love I have for this ministry. I love it so much because I have never been a part of anything that looks so very much like the early church in the book of Acts. People of all walks of life gathering together what they have...resources, time, talents... to serve in unity. Reaching out to hurting people tangibly and with a deep love and compassion that comes from Christ alone.
I'll be transparent. There is a piece of my heart that mourns not getting to be in the day-to-day programs like I once was. However, I have no intention of missing out on serving beside you and spending time with clients when my new role allows. That being said, I also know that God is calling me to a different season of CMC leadership. He is opening doors that I need to walk through. Even next week, I have been invited to the Clinton School of Public Service to represent the CMC as a panel leader in a Housing and Homeless Solutions Forum. These are spaces where policies are being formed that could change the narrative long term. Despite my feelings of imposter syndrome, I see God facilitating these encounters and I see his hand securing the future of the CMC in Arkansas. My highest priority in my new role is pressing forward in even greater ways with regard to our mission and vision while pursuing rock solid stability for the CMC for generations to come.
There is no one I trust more to carry the Executive Director role than Sarah Wilson. She has been a trusted friend who truly understands and exemplifies the faith and sacrifice this role will demand. She has been called and equipped for such a time as this, and I am excited to see how God will continue to use her in mighty ways. If you need me, I'm still close by. My number hasn't changed. My email hasn't changed. My heart for this work hasn't changed. "
A Note from Sarah
"After eight years of serving alongside one of the most faithful and fearless leaders I’ve ever known, I’m humbled to step into the role of Executive Director of the Conway Ministry Center. I have had the honor of learning from someone who not only built this ministry with vision and courage but also poured her heart into every person who walked through our doors. Everything I know about being a good case manager—and now, a good leader—I learned under her guidance. Her example of servant leadership, unwavering compassion, and deep trust in the Lord has shaped not only this organization, but me personally. The Ministry Center stands today as a beacon of hope because of her faithful leadership, and I’m grateful she will continue to walk alongside us as the new Chair of the Board.
As I begin this new chapter, my heart remains fixed on the same mission: to love well. I will continue showing up each day with open hands and a ready heart, seeking to love our clients, volunteers, and staff just as Christ has loved me. I don’t take this position lightly—it is a calling I have prayerfully accepted, trusting that God will give me the strength, wisdom, and grace to carry it out. I’m honored to lead this ministry, not on my own, but with a great team and a great God. The road ahead is full of possibility, and I look forward to what the Lord will do in and through the Conway Ministry Center in the days to come."
